Family Love & A Day Of Independence

I love Independence Day, mostly because of the memories my parents created for me as a child. The houseful of aunts, uncles and cousins.  The green and orange-stripped folding lawn chairs with my grandmother and great grandmother side by side watching the firework display in our back yard.  The memories of the cherry bombs and read more »

Last week I wrote about Grace.  Anyone who’s been to church a couple times knows that grace and mercy are divine twins representing our cosmic relief.  They both provide the sustenance that is necessary for the human spirit to step up to life, accept it,  pursue dreams, and… eventually find our way to a miracle. read more »

I’ll remember my Dad forever for both his strength and vulnerability, and I think of him with a heart full of the love that he gave me the short time that I knew him.

I want to hear from you: What has your Dad taught you? What does he remind you of? What is something you will never forget about him?

To me, Grace is that all knowing that sits behind the prayer and allows us to feel the connection to our words, the connection to our God and the connection to ourselves. Everyday I understand more about my opening to grace, and how it unfolds and becomes greater, deeper, and wiser.
